Role-playing games!
Trying something new can be complicated and confusing, especially for a beginner.
To make for a smoother and more enjoyable first experience, the Waikato Role-Playing Guild runs "Intro to D&D" events, to give new players or those wanting a refresher a safe and fun first game, run by an experienced guild GM!
As part of these events, we also run "Intro to Not D&D" to give people an opportunity to try out other RPG titles, and "Intro to GMing" for those who wish to try running their very own tables.

Intro to D&D - Youth
Know a young person 10+ who is excited about Dungeons & Dragons, but don’t know where to start? Bring them to Intro to D&D to learn the game with an experienced game master.
The Waikato Role-Playing Guild is running an Introduction to Dungeons and Dragons hosted in the Te Kete Tuatea Meeting Room at the Rototuna Public Library. This event will give your child the opportunity to get an understanding of the game and hopefully the knowledge to start playing themsleves! They will have the rules explained by an experienced Dungeon Master who’ll then take them on an exciting adventure designed for beginners.
To start with we have 20 seats available, so book your spot by buying a ticket as soon as they become available!
